It was my goal to post twice a week—specifically every Tuesday and Friday—but one thing after another seems to be keeping me from blogging: Memorial Day weekend, trips to visit family, house hunting, haircuts, and even a Cher concert. I can’t complain too much, since these are all good things, but I’m finding that it’s tough to stick to a schedule lately. I thought the summer would provide extra time for writing, but that hasn’t been the case.
My blogging isn’t the only thing that’s suffering lately. The stack of books sitting on my nightstand has been neglected too. The pile keeps growing bigger and I don’t seem to be making any progress. Currently, I’m trying to finish up Steve Berry’s The King’s Deception while also reading Paullina Simon’s Children of Liberty on my Kindle. In addition, I’ve got Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game, Caroline B. Cooney’s Time Traveler’s Quartet, and a book on loan all waiting to be read.
Until my next posting (which may or may not be on time!), I leave you with one of my favorite songs Cher sang at her Dressed to Kill concert—and no—it’s not “If I Could Turn Back Time!”
For those of you who’ve been blogging for a while now, how do you maintain your blog during the busy summer months?
